Future Trends in Animal Agriculture Symposium slated for Dec. 2

GREENFIELD, Mass.—Christine Bushway, Executive Director and CEO of the Organic Trade Association (OTA), will participate in the Future Trends in Animal Agriculture Symposium: The Future of Animal Agriculture 2030 planned for Dec. 2 in Washington, D.C.
Bushway will take part in a panel entitled “What Should Animal Agriculture Look Like in 2030?” Other panelists will include Paul Shapiro of the Humane Society of the United States, and Marie Wheatley of the American Humane Association.
Deputy Secretary Kathleen Merrigan will open the conference with a welcoming speech. The conference will be held at USDA’s Jefferson Auditorium, South Agriculture Building, in Washington, D.C.
Among the other speakers during the event will be Rep. Rosa DeLauro, chair of the U.S. House Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee, Rep. David Scotto, chair of the House Livestock, Dairy and Poultry Subcommittee, and Ron DeHaven of the American Veterinary Medical Association,
